FileMaker only allows one user at a time to modify a record.  This could be an order, payment, quote, etc.  What will happen is the second user will be able to access the record but will not be able to make changes to anything.  Sometimes FileMaker will display a 301 error code or the user may notice they are not able to make changes.  If this is happening it is best to exit the record and find the person working on it.  If you are not able to figure out who is in the record, it might be best to kick everyone out of the system via the Filemaker Server Admin Console under the "Users" tab.
